BB WEST Driving School will make an effort to provide you with the best possible service and share with you our knowledge and experience so you can become a responsible and safe driver.
We offer in-car, individual, one-on-one lessons only. No other student or observer will be in the vehicle during your lesson.
For your convenience, single lessons, as well as driver training packages, are available. We can also provide you with the use of our school vehicle for your road test, if you are ready for it at the end of your training package (requires advanced booking).
• Fees:
Fees are payable in full before or at the time of the first lesson for all packages, otherwise a single lesson fee will be applicable at the time of each lesson, and due before the lesson commences. The price list for individual lesson and packages is available online at http://bbwest.ca , or you can request a copy to be presented to you before your first lesson. All prices subject to 5% GST. All lessons include pickup (and drop off at the same location) for lessons starting
in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge and North Burnaby* (see note below),
Port Moody including Anmore and Belcarra** (see note below).

· Oxford Connector at Starbucks parking lot, across from ICBC Driver’s Services

· City Hall parking lot (by the Library) · West Coast Express train station
*North Burnaby residence:
Pickup from home around Lougheed Town Center area, Burnaby Mountain (SFU) and Burnaby/Coquitlam border.
Otherwise start and finish will be from Lougheed Town Centre Skytrain Station.
**Anmore & Belcarra residence:
For your convenience your pickup location for lessons could be in New Port Village - parking lot by Starbucks.
For other arrangement of pick-up location, please talk to your instructor before booking your lesson.
• Use of School Vehicle for Road Test:
You may like to arrange to use one of our driver training vehicles for your ICBC road test. Fees for this service are outlined in the school price list,
and are payable prior to the road test.
[Road test session requires minimum time of 2 hours and includes approximately 45 minutes of warm-up/practice time prior to the road test].
• Lesson Duration:
Each 1-hour lesson (or 1.5hour lesson) consists of approximately 55 minutes (or 85 minutes) practice time, plus 5 minutes to review your progress and to book your next lesson.
• Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Late cancellation/no-show fee of $50.00 will apply if the lesson is cancelled by the student without adequate notice. Late Cancellation charge will
also be levied if a student does not attend a booked appointment or is unprepared to take their lesson for any reason (ie: no driver's license on hand).
This fee covers rescheduling and instructor time. We will gladly reschedule any appointment without penalty if given adequate notice (see below)
or with a doctor’s notice in case of sudden, serious illness or injury.
Cancellation or change of a regular lesson requires 48 hours notice, except for Monday lessons, which require 72 hours notice as the scheduling
office is closed Saturday/Sunday (and Statutory Holidays).
72 hours cancellation notice also applies to ICBC Road Test appointments booked for the student by BBWest Driving School.
Refund requested before your first lesson:
If you decide to cancel your purchase before your first driving lesson, you must request that by email. Please send refund request to info@bbwest.ca
You will receive a full refund – minus the processing fee collected by the payment processing firm (3.5% of your total payment).
The refund will be processed as soon as possible, but it can take around 14 days for your money to arrive back on your card.
Refund requested after your first lesson:
You may also request refund for your remaining lessons after the first lesson has been completed. In such case, single lesson fee will be deducted from your payment and the remaining amount will be refunded – minus the processing fee collected by the payment processing firm (3.5% of your total payment). The refund will be processed as soon as possible, but it can take around 14 days for your money to arrive back on your card.
After the completion of your second lesson, all pre-paid lessons and lesson packages become non-transferable/non-refundable and remain valid for 12 months from the purchase date. All pre-paid lessons, including lesson packages will become invalid and non-refundable after that time.
• Lesson Price Guarantee:
We do guarantee that your lesson price will not increase for the time frame of 6 months from the start of your first lesson with BBWest Driving School or your initial payment – whichever comes first.
Policy Update January 2021; we've extended the time frame to complete your pre-paid lessons from 6 to 12 months from the day of purchase. All pre-paid lessons, including lesson packages will become invalid and non-refundable after that time.
• NSF Cheque Policy:
BBWest Driving School will charge $40.00 for any cheque returned by the bank as NSF.
This charge will be added to any balance owing on your account.
Remember, there is NEVER a charge for lessons cancelled in a timely manner.
